GarageBand for iOS 2.3.17 has arrived and while the App Store says this is just a bug fix and stability update, there’s actually a bit more to it than that…
Iconic
The most obvious change here is that the GarageBand App has received a lovely new iOS 18 dark mode icon.
While all of Apple’s built-in system apps got dark mode icon alternatives as part of the recent iOS 18 release, other apps that require you to update via the app store didn’t.
You can find the dark icons by customizing your Home Screen appearance to Dark. Long-press on your screen to activate jiggle mode (yes that is the official name for it) , press Edit, Customize, then select Dark. Lovely stuff.
Release Notes
It’s great to see Apple are still committed to improving and refining GarageBand for iOS. With the release of Logic Pro for iPad I was worried that they may have just cut the App loose. That obviously isn’t the case with this GarageBand 2.3.17 Update.
