To celebrate World Music Day, BLEASS have released a big update for their excellent free monophonic synth; Monolit!
If you’ve never heard of Monolit before, here’s a quick refresher.
Monolit is a unique and powerful synth for iOS and Mac from one of my favourite developers; BLEASS.
They’ve essentially distilled a lot of what makes their full fat Megalit and Alpha synth apps down into a lightweight, easy to use monophonic synth app.
Monolit is monophonic, so you won’t be bashing out any complex chords with this thing. Instead, it specializes in creating some truly gnarly bass, lead and arpeggiated sounds.
New Presets
As well as some incredibly high quality community created preset banks from the likes of Electronisounds, Red Sky Lullaby, and Doug from The Sound Test Room, BLEASS have added an all new Analog Fusion preset bank in this latest version of Monolit.
The sounds on offer here are brilliant, with the arpeggiated sounds a particular stand out for me.
There’s also a new Basses pack available in the shop tab in the standalone version of Monolit.
You can try out five of the sounds in this pack for free and if you like what you hear, you can purchase the full pack for £3.99/$3.99.
Monolit is FREE
BLEASS apps are great and weird and brilliant, but there is really something special about their synth apps.
Although monophonic, monolithic still has that BLEASS secret sauce in it that sets it apart from other similar apps and plugins.
Monolit is still a completely free download on both Mac and iOS – I HIGHLY recommend you download it and give it a go.
