2019 is the year that iOS music making really came into its own.

After much gnashing of teeth and wringing of hands, I’ve finally come up with this; the nominations for the best iOS app of 2019.

It’s a varied and eclectic list, spanning everything from the year’s big budget offerings from major app developers, to smaller, personal favourites that shouldn’t be missed, and everything else in between.

The Winner

I am delighted to announce that STARK by Klevgrand is The GarageBand Guide’s iOS app of the year!

In the months since I reviewed this Guitar Sim, i’ve found myself going back to STARK time and time again to the point where it is unquestionably my ‘go to’ app for pretty much all of my guitar and bass sounds nowadays.

Simply put, it’s fantastic.
