NEW GarageBand Sound Pack – Modular Rhythms

MODULAR RHYTHMS is the brand new heavy hitting synth drum Sound Pack for GarageBand iOS.

Jam packed full of abstract, genre bending rhythms and glitchy loops, this pack has everything you need to add some diverse grooves to your projects.

What’s included, how does it sound and is this new pack worth your time? 

 

 

In the Modular Rhythms Pack you will find:

12 new drum kits

More than 200 Apple Loops.

Not a huge amount on offer here, but with Apple’s recent focus on quality over quantity with its recent sound pack releases, that might not be a bad thing.

The 140 loops on offer here sound fantastic on their own. They REALLY shine when you incorporate them into a full project.

You can get some proper bangers on the go with a setup as simple as some of Alchemy’s beefier arpeggiated patches and the loops in this pack. You could also try inserting some of these sounds into a Live Loops grid. 

New Drum Kits

The 12 included drum kits range from some pretty standard sounding kits, to some more unique and interesting ones.

As ever, pairing up new kits with the Beat Sequencer is a great way to really get a feel for them. (especially when you’re as rubbish at finger drumming as I am). 

The patterns supplied with these new kits all do the job really well. It’s also great to see that some fully fleshed out and interesting interesting patterns have been supplied.
