In one of the worst years for updates and content drops for GarageBand since records began it was left the third-party plugin manufacturers to provide the audio excitement in 2019

Luckily they did not disappoint

All of the plugins nominated above are fantastic and well worth your time, but alas that can only be one winner.

The GarageBand Guide’s favourite Mac plugin of the year for 2019 is I Heart NY by Baby Audio

An absolutely fantastic parallel compressor plug-in with a lot of character, I Heart NY thoroughly impressed me when I reviewed it towards the end of 2019.
