GarageBand 10: How Many Plugins? Q&A #10

Chances are you’re going to use GarageBand’s built-in plugins (or a third party’s) at some point. Activating them on your selected track is as easy as opening Smart Controls and adding them to the ‘Audio FX’ box in the Plugins dropdown menu.

In this edition of GarageBand Q&A, Kelly asks how to add more than the default 4 plugins to the Audio FX box – something that GarageBand doesn’t make immediately obvious…

  1. You are doing a great Job! Any Plug-ins for Vocals? I am starting a project with Garageband and recording vocal as well but I need some crazy plug-in that makes it sound like close to Studio like it does for other instruments.

    Thanks

  2. Hi Patrick,

Does your site include a Q&A forum?
Also.. I received a (human) drum track as an MP3 which does not precisely line up in all places with the tempo that I set for the song. I know I could do a lot of manual editing to correct this but wonder if there a setting such that GB can analyze the track and line up the downbeats on the track with the tempo? I checked “Follow Tempo and Pitch” but that’s not the right tool is it?

    Cheers
