  1. The U-He line of free Synths are all awesome, Zebralette, Podololski, TrippleCheese, TyrellN6. User friendly interfaces, simple & very smooth installs, great sounds! (Mac users, don’t forget to restart after install otherwise GarageBand won’t recognize it)

  2. I’m running Garageband V5.1 09 (free on the ilife CD) on iMac os 10.9.5
Don’t laugh. I can’t download any additional software instruments. When I try it says “You have already initiated the installation of additional content for GarageBand via software update” I get a busy wheel but nothing happens.
I’m just looking for traditional instruments like strings, brass etc.
If I buy a new version of GarageBand will it run on my imac Mavericks?

    Hope you can help

  3. I can’t find the links to these instruments for some reason. Are they available somewhere and I’m just not seeing them?

  4. There are a heap of fabulous free VST instruments from Spitfire Audio and also Arturia has their Analog Lab. These are worth checking out.

  5. Hi man, Im wondering if there are any free guitar instrument plugins to improve on the range in garageband? I can use google but have trouble discerning the amount of hits… any help would be appreciated. I already have a lot of the plugins you have recommended in your videos but wondered about authentic sounding guitars or bass specifically. Many thanks
