  1. Hi Patrick:

Just a quick note to thank you for all these videos. I’m a keyboard player who is blind, and thanks to Youtube, I learn lots about what’s available. My iPad is I guess my second or third instrument I use, behind a Nord Stage 4 and the Hydrasynth. I love the portability of it with a battery powered amp. Just wanted to thank you for all the videos you do.

  2. Hi,

Thank you for your video on how to load a legacy version of GB onto a pre-IOS 18 device. It was extremely helpful, and I was able to use GB to create a ringtone on my wife’s iPhone. There was one glitch: Logging my wife off and logging in as me allowed me to install the pre-18 GB, but when I relogged her back in, all her payment methods and her electronic Driver’s License had been wiped from the Apple Wallet. Having to reenter all her payment and CDL info took an extra half-hour. I would have done it all anyway, but knowing in advance that I was going to have to do that would have helped me plan.

  6. Hi, got an macbook pro from 2015, how can i get garageband working on the macbook?
There must be a way to get and older version of Garageband on it ? I need help.
    Thanks.

  7. Hi , I have bought your very good GarageBand manual and have followed you for 6 years but I don’t recall the following being addressed and hope you can now .

I’ve noticed that when I save my GarageBand, Band files, the file size is almost twice as large as saving the exact same band file immediately after by using the , saving as , function.

For an example, a song I’m working on is 787 MB when I save using GarageBand file : drop-down menu and click save. And then, if I immediately without doing any other work, go back to file in the GarageBand menu and then select : save as , and simply add backup to the same band file name but the file will only be 344 MB.

Is it because when , saving as, the band file doesn’t include no longer active various edits, overdubs and other changes which have been overwritten are not transferred over when the , save as , function is used? I’ve also had problems with GarageBand saving band files that I’m working on as zero bite band files and cannot be used.

Are these just quirks in GarageBand?

    Thanks !

  9. Hi Patrick,

I’m a retired teacher and school counselor. I have lots of song ideas in my head and hoping that Garage Band will get them out of my head and into music form. My email is Floridaice13@gmail.com
Any tips would be appreciated. I play piano, keyboards and Bass. I have taken a few drum lessons with success, but I travel around a lot. I have a Midi but have no idea how to use that yet.

  10. Hi Patrick

My name is also Patrick, and based in the Scottish Borders.
I am absolutely new to Garage Band and have just, this weekend purchased an Apple Mac, interface etc to get started.
My friend sent me a link, last night, to your recent discount offer, however, I seem to have missed it!
Any chance of still accessing the offer?
Thank you for your time considering this matter.
    Patrick
